Project Overview
SAADA, the leading source for South Asian American history, seeks a highly skilled and experiencedFocus Group Consultant.
The consultant will organize and conduct focus groups in five non-South Asian immigrant communities in Philadelphia, consisting of at least 10 participants each. (Note: The consultant need not be based in Philadelphia, but the focus groups must be conducted in-person in Philadelphia.) By understanding the storytelling needs of immigrant communities, we will determine the viability of expandingMemory BucketSAADAs forthcoming intergenerational storytelling board gameinto a broader market.

Scope of Work
- Partner with SAADA to identify 5 non-South Asian immigrant communities for focus group feedback
- Organize and facilitate focus groups, consisting of at least 10 participants each, to understand storytelling needs, preservation challenges, and service preferences in immigrant communities
Deliverable
A community insights report that identifies key themes, shared challenges, and points of convergence and divergence in intergenerational storytelling, heritage preservation, and service preferences across nonSouth Asian immigrant communities, drawing on focus group feedback to inform future program design and partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in qualitative research and demonstrated work with immigrant communities
- Strong qualitative research and facilitation skills
- Proven cultural competency across diverse immigrant populations
