Job Description:The Nonprofit Learning Lab is a national nonprofit that trains leaders in the nonprofit sector. The Membership Assistant helps our membership team assist with a variety of membership tasks and projects. This is a great position for someone who wants to learn under the guidance of a direct supervisor and build their professional skills in a collaborative work remote environment.
Office Environment:All employees at our organization work from home. This is a remote position. We provide you with a laptop and cover internet service at your home. The tasks of this position require high-speed internet access.
Membership Services Support
- Assist with maintaining the membership database using MembershipWorks, including data entry and record updates
- Support administrative tasks related to member retention activities under the direction of your supervisor
- Assist with new member intake, ensuring accurate communication, documentation, and backend processing
Member Support
- Provide frontline support by answering general questions from members via email
- Support staff in delivering accurate and timely responses to inquiries by gathering information and using established resources
- Support membership team and draft internal and external communications using existing templates related to membership
Task Management and Supervision
- Complete assigned tasks tracked through Trello, with regular communication with the Manager and Director
- Participate in regular check-ins with a supervisor focused on role development and organizational support
- Attend daily staff briefings and scheduled team meetings
- Maintain consistent communication and adhere to assigned schedules
