Founded in 1988, Food & Friends provides medically-tailored meals, nutrition support, and friendship to people living with AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses. Our team of seventy employees and thousands of volunteers delivers meals and hope to people living in the District of Columbia and multiple counties across Maryland and Virginia. There is no charge or income qualification for our services, which are rendered solely on the basis of medical need. We seek a Development Operations Coordinator to provide administrative and database support to our Development Department. Reporting to the Systems and Data Operations Director, the Coordinator will:

  • process donor gifts using Raisers Edge;
  • import data into Raisers Edge and run data syncs to maintain integration with other software databases;
  • maintain integrity and accuracy of donor information in Raisers Edge and assist with database cleanup;
  • prepare and mail donor acknowledgement letters;
  • generate donor reports, database queries, and donor lists via Raisers Edge;
  • answer routine donor inquiries via e-mail and phone;
  • assist with monthly reconciliation process between Accounting and Development;
  • provide administrative support to departmental professionals responsible for grants, sponsorships, events, and individual giving;
  • manage compliance and registration requirements for the Development Department, including filing of state charitable registrations; and
  • manage volunteers assigned to the Development Department.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an up-and-coming professional interested in nonprofit development or CRM database management.

The successful candidate will have a BA/BS (or commensurate professional experience) and at least one year of nonprofit CRM experience.Experience with Raisers Edge strongly preferred. Additional requirements include ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment; superb attention to detail; outstanding communication skills; a keen sense for customer service; and ability to multi-task. Must be willing to work in a traditional office environment.Offer of employment contingent upon a background check and pre-employment drug test.
