Project Manager – Engagement & Education at Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting – United States Suite 615REMOTE POSSIBLEHYBRID
Recruiter: Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting
The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting is an award-winning nonprofit journalism organization that sponsors independent reporting on global issues that mainstream media often overlook. Our education and engagement programs bring this journalism into classrooms, universities, and communities worldwide, using storytelling as a tool for understanding complex challenges and inspiring action.
About the role
The Pulitzer Center seeks an exceptional project manager to transform ambitious engagement strategies into operational reality–ensuring that breakthrough journalism reaches classrooms, communities, and audiences worldwide through well-executed programs and seamless collaboration.
As Project Manager – Engagement & Education, you’ll serve as the operational backbone of our engagement work, translating the Chief Impact Officer’s strategic vision into detailed project plans, coordinated workflows, and measurable outcomes. You’ll orchestrate complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning K-12 education, university partnerships, international outreach, and community engagement–ensuring ideas that move smoothly from concept to impact.
This isn’t about administrative support–it’s about operational leadership. We’re looking for someone who thrives in complexity, sees connections others miss, and builds systems that enable teams to do their best work. Someone who can manage multiple moving pieces simultaneously while maintaining clarity, quality, and forward momentum–all while centering equity and inclusion in every operational decision.
If you’re energized by the challenge of turning strategy into action, building infrastructure that scales, and enabling collaborative success across distributed teams, this role offers the opportunity to amplify the impact of journalism that matters.

- Lead the collection and organization of data for internal learning and external reporting, analyzing activities and deliverables to support continuous improvement, with attention to disaggregated data that reveals equity gaps and opportunities
