About this Position
Soccer Without Borders seeks a Part-Time Head Coach to serve at Soccer Without Borders sports-based youth development programs In San Francisco. The Head Coach will be responsible for planning and leading the implementation of after-school programming at 2 high schools in San Francisco, Thurgood Marshall, and San Francisco International High
School. Programming will include English-integrated soccer practice, community-building activities, and advocacy work to empower and support newcomer youth and their families.
This position’s timeline is from March 1st, 2026 – June 31st, 2026.If the funding is secured and the individual performs well in the role during their initial month of employment, there will be an opportunity for continued employment in the new fiscal year. This could be either a part-time or full-time position, depending on both the available funding and the individual’s interest
Responsibilities-
Direct Service (80%)
- Lead Practices with Soccer Without Borders methodologies
- Conduct community-building events for participants.
- Direct program planning & facilitation using the 9-point practice plan and Complete Season Checklist
- Support with player recruitment.
- Game preparation (including transportation coordination with Supervisor).
- Gameday lead- Head coach both teams on their Saturday 8v8 San Francisco League
Administration (20%)
- Complete the required training offered by Soccer Without Borders and US Soccer( ie.safeguarding training, safe sport, coach straining by SFYSL)
