Position Title:Community Organizer
Location:In Person based in Brooklyn.
Reports To:Deputy of Organizing Director
Employment Type:Full-time
Salary Range: $50,000 – $55,000
Start Date:Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled. The anticipated start date for this position is February 2026.

Overview:
The Community Organizer builds tenant power to fight displacement, improve housing conditions, and win long-term solutions to the housing crisis. This role centers on organizing tenants across rent-stabilized, subsidized, and other targeted buildings, developing grassroots leadership, launching tenant associations, and advancing tenant-led campaigns. The ideal candidate is a committed organizer with a strong passion for housing justice and community empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
- Community Organizing and Leadership Development (55%)
- Identify and build relationships with tenants in targeted neighborhoods and buildings.
- Support tenants in forming, sustaining, and expanding tenant associations.
- Facilitate political education sessions, organizing workshops, and leadership development programs.
