Vocational Skills Instructor (Adults 18+)

Part-Time | On-site | Milpitas

Schedule:Monday, Wednesday, Friday | 8:45 AM 3:15 PM

(Potential to expand to more days as the program grows)

Pay:$20$25/hour (based on experience)

Start:February 16, 2026 (or earlier)

About Inclusive World

Inclusive World is a community-based nonprofit supporting adults with developmental disabilities in building independence, confidence, and meaningful community connections.

We focus on abilities. Through practical skill-building and inclusive community experiences, we help adults grow toward greater independence and employment readiness.

What This Role Is Really About

This is a hands-on teaching role in a small-group setting.

Youll work directly with adults (18+) as they build practical life and vocational skills things like basic technology use, workplace readiness, and executive functioning.

Some days youll teach structured lessons. Some days youll support participants as they apply those skills in real-world community settings. You wont be doing this alone.

Because we are a growing program, youll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas and gradually take on more responsibility if that interests you. Growth is available but not forced.

What Youll Do

  • Teach practical vocational and life skills in small groups
  • Support adults during community-based activities
  • Encourage confidence and independence
  • Track simple progress notes (well train you)
  • Work closely with a supportive team

Experience in education, vocational programs, mentoring, or human services is helpful but not required if youre the right fit.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required (Bachelors preferred)
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Comfortable supporting occasional community outings
