The Rostro de Cristo (RdC) International Fellowship Program is a compensated position which offers emerging leaders and experienced professionals opportunities to offer their skills in service to vulnerable communities in the Dominican Republic and to work for justice.

• One round-trip airfare per year to the United States.
• RdC assists fellows in arranging housing.

Fellows work with local agencies, including ASCALA (Asociacion Scalabriniana al Servicio de la Movilidad Humana), a faith-based NGO in Consuelo dedicated to upholding the human rights and dignity of local immigrants. In addition, fellows support RdCs program development in the local community.

Fellows serve full-time, preferably for a minimum one-year, alongside other RdC fellows and local partners, with opportunities for extension. Roles are tailored to the fellows skills and interests to serve the needs of the local community and are developed collaboratively during the first month of the fellowship. A diversity of backgrounds, skills, and experiences are welcome.

Qualifications:

• • Full-time international / intercultural living and working experience, preferably in with marginalized communities.
  • Strong alignment with Rostro de Cristos mission and commitment to faith in action, justice, and accompaniment.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English with intercultural communication skills, Haitian Creole a plus.
  • Background in social work, education, nonprofit services, law, international development, pastoral ministry or related fields is a plus.
  • Bachelors degree required, graduate degree helpful but optional.
  • References should address professional experience, spirituality, interpersonal skills, and cultural competency.
