About the Role
IUAPR seeks asenior educator and program leaderto serve asDirector of Education. This is apublic-facing rolefor an experienced educator with a background in liberatoryandanti-oppression pedagogy with7+ years of teaching experience and skill at facilitating anti-racism and racial justice education.
The Director of Education is responsible for building, promoting, delivering, and scaling IUAPRs education and training portfolio. The role combines facilitation, curriculum development, business development, and program leadership, and plays a central role in expanding IUAPRs work nationally.
The Director will regularly facilitate in-person and virtual workshops and trainings for diverse audiences in a variety of sectors. While prior experience specifically addressing anti-Palestinian racism isnot required, candidates must bring a strong foundation inanti-racist educationand be prepared to engage deeply with established research and scholarship on anti-Palestinian racism as a structural and systemic issue.
Key Responsibilities
Education Leadership & Facilitation
- Serve as IUAPRs lead educator and public-facing spokesperson, representing the organization through high-impact teaching, speaking engagements, and external partnerships.
- Facilitate in-person and virtual workshops on anti-Palestinian racism across multiple sectors
- Translate IUAPR research into clear, accessible, and compelling content for diverse audiences
- Lead the design, refinement, and evolution of IUAPRs education offerings, ensuring consistency, quality, and impact.
Curriculum & Program Development
- Develop and implement educational programs grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and anti-racist pedagogical frameworks.
- Ensure education offerings are flexible, adaptable, and scalable across sectors and audiences.
- Support the development of future educational initiatives
Education Revenue & Business Development
- Lead the growth and sustainability of IUAPRs paid education and training portfolio.
- Proactively identify and pursue new paid opportunities for workshops and training.
- Conduct outreach, discovery calls, and relationship building with prospective clients and partners.
- Develop scope of work/proposals for organizations and institutions interested in hosting IUAPR workshops.
- Build long-term client relationships that lead to repeat engagements and expand contracts.
Program & Operation Leadership
- Serve as the central organizer and manager of IUAPRs educational program calendar
- Coordinate outreach, logistics for workshops, webinars, including scheduling, speaker coordination, client communication, and follow-up.
- Collaborate with and support IUAPRs Education Committee in advancing strategic priorities.
- Manage and execute program growth by coordinating external engagement, developing timelines, and ensuring successful delivery across all stages of program implementation.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated grounding in liberatory, anti-oppression, and culturally responsive pedagogy
- 7+ years of experience as an anti-racist or racial justice educator and facilitator, with a primary focus on adult learning and professional development environments.
- Proven experience developing and delivering anti-racist/racial justice education programs
- Exceptional public speaking and facilitation skills in virtual and in-person settings
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to foster collaboration, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, including end-to-end program delivery
- Demonstrated commitment and understanding of Palestinian history, culture, and politics.
- Collaborative and relationship-oriented, with experience engaging external partners and clients
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly for in-person workshops and IUAPR-related activities
- Demonstrated experience developing sustainable education programs and/or expanding the reach, scale, or impact of educational initiatives.
- US based and able to work in the US
- Demonstrated commitment to Palestinian rights advocacy
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for IUAPRs mission and Palestinian rights
- Willingness to travel within the US as needed and work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Professional and proactive approach to both collaborative and independent work.
