Qualifications

  • Advanced university degree (masters degree or equivalent) in statistics, economics, sociology or related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For th is job opening, English is required. Either French or Spanish or Russian or Chinese (Mandarin) or Arabic is desirable.   • A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in the collection, compilation, analys is and dissemination of statistical data or related area is required. Experience in developing new statistical indicators and survey tools is required. Experience in data analytics and relevant statistical programmes, such as R, Python, Javascript, is required. Experience in evaluating data related to the International Financial Architecture is desirable.
