Qualifications

  • An advanced university degree (masters degree or equivalent, such as a senior command and staff qualification, police academy) in security management, forensics, investigations, criminal law or similar A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience in military, police, security investigation management may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree A diploma from national police; or military academy resulting in an appointment as a commissioned officer in combfr1ation with two additional years of qualifying experience in military, police or security management at the rank of commissioned officer (Le. Lieutenant/ Inspector or equivalent) maybe accepted in lieu of a first level university degree.
  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For th is job opening, English is required.   • A minimum. of five years with advanced university degree (seven years with a first level university degree) of progressively responsible experience in investigation with a military, police, security or international organization is required; At least two years of experience and exposure at the international level is required. At least one year of experience in a conflict or post conflict environment is required.
