Title:Communications Coordinator
Reports to:Executive Director
Job Duties Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies for good communication with all staff, leaders, sponsors and projects.
- E-MAIL – management of software, direct the PNCCs email monthly newsletter, reconcile new email subscribers and respond to those who subscribe.
- SOCIAL MEDIA coordinate the development and upkeep of all social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) for PNCC/Fiesta del Sol, as well as photography of events. This includes daily posts, promotion of events and social justice issues. Manage and operate equipment needed to run live streams.
- WEBSITE act as a webmaster for PNCC/Fiesta del Sol by performing updates, edits, additions, deletions, etc. On a weekly basis, update and post on-demand news updates. Create and promote social justice campaigns/events on the website and other social media outlets and coordinate registration form for events and registrations.
- NEWSLETTER/ANNUAL REPORT manage, design, write and edit the PNCCs monthly newsletter and yearly annual report. Pull emailing list and update as needed.
- PUBLIC RELATIONS work closely with Executive Assistant/ Special Projects Coordinator on sponsors Fiesta del Sols marketing campaigns including press conferences, graphic design, website and social media posts & stories, public relations, press releases, arranging interviews, preparing talking points, etc.
Assist the Executive Director; Executive Assistant/Special Projects Coordinator, and Community Organizers with organizations events.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in communications, Marketing, or related field required.
- At least 1-2 years of demonstrated job-related experience with a non-profit organization.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal) In English and Spanish
- Solid computer skills including familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, and different Design programs (Adobe, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva).
- Excellent knowledge of Social Media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Tik-Tok).
- Experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut) is preferred but not required.
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proven accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to protect the confidentiality of all information and effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders.
