Result of Service
The assignment aims to provide technical support for the Parent Portal application, a component of the educational system portfolio, that facilitates efficient delivery of services to our beneficiaries.

Duties and Responsibilities
Specific Outputs/Tasks include but not limited to:
- Support the technical handover of the Parent Portal infrastructure by ensuring smooth transition of ownership for the infrastructure resources including the preparation and delivery of all relevant technical documentation.
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support relating to Parent Portal and integrating services
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerized workloads
- Monitor, manage, and maintain Kubernetes clusters for performance, reliability, and scalability
- Perform deployment, configuration, and upgrades of Kubernetes clusters and Azure resources
- Provide maintenance and monitoring works, ensuring system availability, efficient performance, and resource optimization; prepares and presents technical reports on application performance, operational issues, and risk mitigation actions.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date documentation including inventories, configurations, procedures, troubleshooting steps, solutions, and best practices.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and other related tasks that may be assigned.
Qualifications/special skills
University degree from accredited educational institution in computer sciences or information technology or other related discipline. 6.2. Field of education required:
- Computer science, information technology, electrical/computer engineering or other related discipline. 6.3. Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible experience in Azure cloud infrastructure and with strong knowledge of Kubernetes. 6.4. Nature of required experience:
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Experience with DevOps
- Familiarity with networking concepts and observability tools 6.5. Extent of required relevant experience 6.6. Excellent command of spoken and written English.
Languages
English and Arabic are the working languages of UNRWA. For this assignment, fluency in both Arabic and English are required.
Additional Information
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
- The consultancy is based in UNRWA HQA Amman – Jordan.
- The selected candidate will receive a monthly remuneration that is equivalent to A15 Step 1 amounting to JOD 1,080.38 for every fully completed month.
- The duration of the Contract is up to 12 months, and the possibility of extension is subject to the availability of funds and continuing need and satisfactory performance.
- As part of Digital Impact, Technology and Innovation Department (DITID)and digital workspace the role works under the overall supervision of the Chief Digital Risk Officer.
