BHBA is one of the countrys largest metro bar associations and a national leader in Continuing Legal Education (CLE). Our ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, enjoys being busy, and works well remotely. The Program Associate will staff online (primarily CLE) programs, answer help desk inquiries from members and event attendees, assist with asset creation, and provide support to the CLE operations team. Position is primarily remote with occasional in-person event staffing in the greater Los Angeles area.
Responsibilities
- Event/meeting support: manage calendars and Zoom logistics; create e-flyers and marketing assets; coordinate with section leaders; handle event preparation (inquiries, Zoom links, speaker materials, etc.); and provide live online event support, including speaker assistance, ad display, and general Zoom operation.
- Customer service and support: provide prompt, responsive assistance to members and other constituents by handling basic inquiries related to events, membership, and general association services; escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution; and answer phones as required.
- CLE compliance: develop and maintain expertise in CA rules (training provided)
- Maintain e-filing systems and abide by organizations brand and style guidelines
- Exhibit polite and professional communication with members, vendors, and the public
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Expertise in Microsoft Office and Zoom; working knowledge of Canva, Salesforce, and Constant Contact, OR experience with similar apps and aptitude for learning new ones quickly
- Comfort with busy days working remotely and staying self-motivated to complete tasks
- Enthusiasm for working with people and learning new technology
- Work with multiple colleagues and escalate prioritization questions to supervisor as needed
- At least two years of work experience, preferably in customer/member service
