The Event & Membership Coordinator is responsible for leading the museums fundraising events, overseeing the membership program, and supporting effective donor and member communications.

This position plays a key role in growing contributed revenue by cultivating strong relationships with donors and members, stewarding existing supporters, and expanding the museums membership base through thoughtful engagement and well-executed programs.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and brings experience in event planning, membership administration, and donor communications, along with a genuine interest in fundraising and community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of the annual Summer Stars Gala & Auction in August
  • Plan and coordinate donor cultivation, stewardship, and membership events
  • Manage the Cascadia Circle membership program, including event coordination and member engagement
  • Oversee the general membership program, including growth, retention, renewals, and stewardship strategies
  • Oversee member communications, including renewals, welcome materials, benefit fulfillment, and ongoing stewardship touch-points
  • Collaborate with marketing staff to promote membership campaigns
  • Track fundraising and membership metrics and prepare reports on development activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and committed to excellence and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated success leading or coordinating special events.
  • Experience managing or supporting a membership program preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Part-time position 30 hours per week. Hourly.
