Are you passionate about making a difference through food and care? As a Dietary Host, youll help patients select meals that fit their dietary needs, deliver trays with accuracy and kindness, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming food service environment. This role is hands-on, people-focused, and essential in supporting the well-being of patients and families. Nourish Lives, One Meal at a Time Become a Dietary Host in Omaha, NE! Starting Pay: $16-18/hour On Call Availability Needed: shifts may start as early as 7am and end no later than 7pm. Weekend and holiday availability needed as well. What Youll Be Doing:
- Assist patients with meal selections based on dietary needs
- Deliver accurate and timely meal trays; retrieve trays after meals
- Prepare, serve, and store food safely while keeping areas sanitized
- Communicate with patients, families, and staff in a professional, caring manner Who Were Looking For:
- Ability to read, write, and utilize a designated Nutrition Program system, under the direction of certified Registered Dietitian(s) required.
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on established work schedule required.
- ServSafe Food Handlers certification within 120 days of transfer or hire required.
- High school diploma and food service experience preferred Physical & Safety Requirements:
- Frequent lifting up to 20 lbs, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Continuous walking, climbing stairs, standing for extended periods of time; exposure to hot and cold environments

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT USAGE, WORK ENVIRONMENT: Requires moderate physical activity handling of average weight objects up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally; standing and/or walking continuously. Subject to inside environmental conditions, with exposure to extreme cold from walk-in coolers and freezers, and extreme heat working with stoves, ovens, and steam tables.
