As a Senior Group FP&A Analyst, youll play a vital role in owning and delivering the groups financial plans and internal reporting, giving finance leaders and key stakeholders the insight they need to make informed decisions and deliver the charitys ambitious goals. Your work will span consolidating forecasts, budgets and cash projections, complex financial modelling, partnering with finance teams and senior stakeholders to strengthen planning and accountability, and producing insightful reporting that highlights trends, risks and opportunities to support our mission of beating cancer. If you are a Qualified Finance Analyst who has effectively delivered financial planning, modelling, and reporting within a large, complex organisation, wed love for you to join our mission. What will I be doing? Owning and delivering timely and insightful group financial plans and internal reporting. Collaborating closely with Finance Managers to embed and maintain a long-term financial planning model. Partnering with key senior stakeholders to develop robust financial plans and ensure ownership of assumptions across each Directorate. Consolidating Cancer Research UKs financial plans, forecasts, budgets, and cash projections, ensuring all accounting treatments and adjustments are appropriately applied to enable robust reserves management. Collaborating with the wider finance team to streamline the financial planning cycle, improving efficiency, agility, and budget holder ownership. Owning and delivering timely, insightful consolidated management reporting for Cancer Research UK, clearly articulating the implications for the financial plan and organisational strategy to the Executive Board and Trustees. Collaborating closely with the Treasury team to review cash and investment reporting to enable Trustees and the Executive Board to manage the charitys reserves. Reviewing management information to identify efficiencies and improvements, ensuring resources are directed to the organisations top priorities. Provide high-quality analysis and modelling to review Cancer Research UK’s performance, as requested by the finance leadership. Analysing trends and performance, feeding findings into forecasts and long-term financial planning. Producing analysis that turns data into insight, helping decision makers to understand the impact of their initiatives and decisions on the charity’s financial plan. What skills will I need? Qualified Finance Analyst (ACCA/ CIMA/ ICAEW or equivalent) or qualified by experience (QBE). QBE definition: group FP&A analysis experience in large organisations and meets all the requirements of this role. Significant experience in complex financial planning, modelling, and reporting within a large, complex organisation or group. Successful track record of building collaborative and credible stakeholder relationships at all levels (including senior leaders and finance teams), with strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills. Skilled in data visualisation, with the ability to interpret and present complex financial information into actionable insights and trends. Advanced Excel with experience using large, complicated data sets, models, and systems (e.g. v-lookups, index match and Pivot Tables). A proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset for identifying and implementing continuous improvements, encouraging innovation, promoting best practices, and challenging conventional organisational approaches and thinking. Consolidation and group experience would be beneficial, but we also welcome applicants from other financial analysis backgrounds who meet the requirements above.
