The Recruitment Support Specialist will assist with sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding a variety of roles supporting IOAs onsite medical clinic and off-site hiring needs. This individual will take primary ownership of home care worker recruitment and partner closely with the On Lok PACE center to fill Van Escort, Center Worker, Home Care Worker, and other entry-level home health roles. In addition, the role will support mass hiring events and manage all related background and onboarding processes, including guiding candidates through physicals, TB clearance, Live Scan, and confirmation of required documentation. This is a part-time, temporary position starting at 20 hours per week, with the potential to grow into a full-time, ongoing role if there is mutual interest. The position will be onsite in San Francisco two days per week, with occasional travel to the South Bay (San Jose) for hiring events. Fluency in Cantonese is required to effectively support and communicate with a significant portion of the candidate population. POSITION DUTIES This is a junior role designed for individuals looking to build experience in recruitment and HR operations within a healthcare environment. While prior exposure to HR is required, training and structured support will be provided. This is a part-time, temporary position starting at 20 hours per week, with the potential to grow into a full-time, ongoing role if there is mutual interest. The position is hybrid and will require onsite in San Francisco two days per week, with occasional travel to the South Bay (San Jose) for hiring events. Sourcing & Recruitment Support sourcing efforts for home care and entry-level healthcare roles through job boards, community outreach, referrals, and hiring events Conduct initial candidate screenings and coordinate interviews with hiring managers Maintain consistent candidate communication and provide timely follow-up Accurately track candidate activity within the ATS Assist with on-site and mass hiring events in San Francisco and occasional San Jose locations Partner with Talent Acquisition team members to ensure alignment with IOA mission, values, branding, and compensation philosophy Onboarding & Pre-Employment Provide ongoing support to new hires as they complete onboarding tasks to ensure start-date readiness Launch background checks and pre-placement health screens Guide candidates through physicals, TB clearance, Live Scan, and required documentation Support HRIS onboarding processes, including I-9 and E-Verify tasks Help facilitate New Employee Orientation (NEO) and first-day experience across regional offices HR Operations & Compliance Enter new hire and employee status changes into HRIS while ensuring data accuracy Maintain electronic personnel files and assist with audit preparation Respond to employee and manager inquiries with professionalism and discretion Support quality control measures and process improvements Document and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed Maintain confidentiality of candidate and employee information Other duties as assigned PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Interest in recruitment, HR, or healthcare operations; prior internship or administrative experience is a plus Exposure to onboarding, compliance, or HR systems preferred Familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS systems preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Customer-service oriented with sound judgment and professionalism Cantonese fluency strongly preferred PHYSICAL AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong tech skills (typing, excel, word and PowerPoint) Ability to comprehend detailed written materials and instructions Ability to travel to different Bay Area locations as needed COMPENSATION Range: $30$35 per hour Compensation is dependent on experience, education, and other factors. The range does not include additional equity, benefits, or other non-monetary compensation.
