About the Role As a Recovery Worker at Leecroft House, youll play a vital role in supporting people within our 24-hour Supported Housing service in Barnet. This is a hands-on, people-focused role where youll empower individuals to build confidence, sustain their tenancy, and live as independently as possible within the community. Youll work alongside people using the service to help them take control of their own recovery journey. This means offering practical and emotional support tailored to each individual, recognising that recovery looks different for everyone. From day one, youll be trusted to build meaningful relationships based on respect, collaboration and choice. This is a role where people truly come first. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Working collaboratively with individuals to develop, review and deliver personalised support plans that reflect their strengths, goals and aspirations Supporting people to maintain their tenancy, manage daily routines, and develop key life skills Helping individuals build confidence in budgeting, paying bills, cooking, cleaning and self-care Encouraging and supporting access to employment, education, training, volunteering and leisure opportunities Promoting choice, independence and positive risk-taking, while maintaining appropriate boundaries and safeguarding Accurately recording progress, outcomes and key information using our IT-based case management system Liaising with GPs, mental health services, local councils, charities and other community partners to ensure joined-up support Taking part in a 24-hour rota, including sleep-ins and on-call duties, to ensure consistent, high-quality support is always available This is a role where youll see the impact of your work every day. About You You dont need previous experiencewe provide full training. What matters most is you: A caring, compassionate and empathetic nature Enthusiasm for supporting others and belief that recovery is possible for everyone Confidence working independently and as part of a team Willingness to work on a weekly rota, including on-call duties Experience or lived understanding of mental health is welcome, but not essential.
