Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Economist the intern will support the Financial Landscape for Development project, acting as a research assistant with the following responsibilities:
- Conduct desk reviews and data collection.
- Update existing information.
- Support online research related coordination tasks, including expert interviews.
- Document and follow up on discussions and agreements.
- Contribute to the drafting of the Financial Landscape for Development Report.
- Produce two policy briefs and design templates for future updates.
- Support organization and documentation of meetings and interviews, including surveys, questionnaires, aide memories, and notes of agreements.
- Prepare inputs and background materials for meetings.
- Assist in coordination of online tasks and follow up activities.
- Contribute to planning and logistics for events and consultations as needed.
Qualifications/special skills
To be enrolled in an undergraduated or graduate programme
- Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience. However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
- Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Masters .
- Good command of standard software applications, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to draft basic concept notes and contribute to documentation and knowledge products.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail. Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
