Recruiter: The Warmth Initiative For Human Needs Response

This Job Application Has Closed

The Warmth Initiative for Human Needs Response is a registered Nigerian nonprofit founded in April 2025 with a mission to tackle homelessness and respond to the human needs of vulnerable communities. In under a year, we have run feeding drives, clothing banks, back-to-school projects, and menstrual pad projects and we are growing.

We are a small but committed team of volunteers led by a passionate founder. We have active social media presence, a registered organization, and a clear sense of where we are going. What we are building now is the infrastructure to get there and fundraising is at the heart of that.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Fundraising Lead who is hungry, self-directed, and genuinely excited about building a fundraising function from the ground up. This is not a role for someone who needs a system handed to them. It is a role for someone who knows how to create one.

You will be the first person in this role. That means you will have real ownership, real impact, and the chance to shape how The Warmth Initiative raises money and tells its story to the world.

What You Will Do

Develop and execute a fundraising strategy covering individual donors, corporate sponsors, and grant funding.

Prospect, research, and approach potential donors, foundations, and corporate partners.

Build a donor database and CRM from scratch.

Write and submit grant proposals and funding applications.

Cultivate and steward relationships with donors and funders.

Create all fundraising materials pitch documents, case for support, donor communications, proposals.

Document all processes and systems so institutional knowledge is preserved.

Report fundraising activity and results to the Founder regularly.

What We Are Looking For

At least 2 years of experience in fundraising, business development, or a closely related field within the Nigerian nonprofit or development sector.

Demonstrated ability to raise funds independently not just support someone else’s fundraising.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision.

Genuine passion for our mission and the communities we serve.

Familiarity with grant writing, donor cultivation, and corporate partnership development is a strong advantage.

Experience working with Google Workspace, CRM tools, or fundraising platforms is a plus.

Compensation

This is a commission-based role. There is no fixed salary. We want to be completely transparent about this so that only serious candidates who are genuinely excited about this opportunity apply.

Commission Rate

10% of all funds successfully raised and received

Base Salary

None

Expense Reimbursement

Pre-approved expenses incurred in the role will be reimbursed

Review

Formal review of terms after Month 3, with potential for revised arrangement

We recognize this structure requires courage and commitment. In return, we promise full transparency, active support from our Founder, and a genuine commitment to growing this arrangement as results grow.

Location and Working Arrangement

This role is open to candidates based in Nigeria only.

The role is fully remote.

You must have reliable internet access and be reachable during core working hours.

Why This Role Matters

The Warmth Initiative is doing real work, feeding families, clothing people with nothing, keeping children in school. What we lack is the funding to do it at the scale the need demands. The person who steps into this role is not just raising money. They are directly enabling lives to change. That is not a small thing.

If this role excites you and the commission structure does not scare you, we want to hear from you.

Applications must be submitted through the official careers portal. Female candidates and candidates from underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
