Job Title: Mid-Level Digital Communications Manager

Location: Remote, preferably based in California (Los Angeles, Bay Area, or Central Valley) or in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000

Our holistic approach to digital inclusion focuses on connecting under-resourced individuals to affordable internet and computers, providing digital skills trainings to individuals and organizations, and advancing fair and just policies.

Since 2012, we’ve connected 2 million people to reliable high-speed internet, distributed over 10,000 devices, and trained more than 8,000 participants in digital skills since 2020. We design high-impact, community-centered programs replicated nationwide through strategic partnerships with government, corporations and nonprofits.

We partner with community-based organizations in digitally excluded neighborhoods, primarily serving Black/African American, Latino and Tribal communities to equip individuals with the tools to create positive change in their lives and neighborhoods. Position Overview

This is a hands-on role for a strong digital practitioner who excels at content creation, channel management, and performance optimization, and who works collaboratively within a broader communications and development strategy. This role requires a drive to innovate and bring new ideas to the table, strong storytelling skills that drive engagement and taking action, capacity to learn new technologies to solve communications challenges, an eye for graphic design, and the ability to translate complex issues into compelling stories and narratives. The manager will be responsible for developing, curating and managing content across multiple digital platforms to amplify Everyone Ons mission, engage audiences and drive impact.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented person who wants to solve problems, and foster digital access for all. The Digital Communications Manager will report to the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Communications, and work closely with the development and programs teams to translate organizational priorities into effective digital content and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Channel Management & Content Execution

  • Manage day-to-day execution of digital communications across social media, email, website platforms, SMS and paid ads
  • Create, edit and publish high-quality, powerful content, including blog posts, social media, newsletters, website copy, collateral, graphics, video scripts, reports and stories that educate and shift public perception of digital access
  • Co-create and implement a year-long digital editorial calendar with key milestones, dates and highlights
  • Monitor daily social media landscape and news cycle, and use analytics tools to identify rapid response opportunities and trending news stories
  • Create and manage paid ads for social platforms
  • Follow brand guidelines to create persuasive content and visuals that bring stories to life on digital channels
  • Stay current on emerging digital, design and video trends, and recommend new approaches and tools to improve efficiency, elevate the brand and increase engagement
  • Help manage the digital budget
  • Produce weekly news scan for Everyone On staff

Social Media & Audience Engagement

  • Publish and manage content across Everyone Ons social media channels (LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube)
  • Support growth and engagement goals through paid ads, posting and optimization
  • Engage with followers, monitor comments and messages, and elevate issues and opportunities to the VP as needed
  • Track engagement metrics and provide regular performance reports and insights

Email Marketing / Website / SMS

  • Build and manage email newsletters and campaign emails using Mailchimp
  • Create and manage SMS campaigns
  • Grow email and SMS subscriber lists
  • Regularly update and optimize website content for SEO, AEO, accessibility and audience engagement, and institute new approaches to keep website fresh
  • Support website redesign
  • Support CRM integration
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors on website updates and improvements as directed

Campaigns & Program Support

  • Run digital campaigns related to fundraising, partnerships, advocacy, and program initiatives with compelling digital storytelling and multimedia assets
  • Create content for digital fundraising and awareness campaigns
  • Work with the programs team to organize and collect stories, photos, videos and testimonials, and other content that highlights impact
  • Support community partners by developing digital toolkits and shareable content

Analytics, Optimization & Best Practices

  • Monitor performance metrics across digital platforms and share insights to inform improvements
  • Apply SEO, AEO and accessibility best practices to digital content
  • Stay current on digital and social media trends and recommend improvements

Collaboration & Project Coordination

  • Help develop and implement a comprehensive, data-driven digital content strategy in service to Everyone Ons mission and strategic framework
  • Use Asana project management tool to track tasks, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Maintain organized digital asset and content management systems
  • Participate in internal meetings and contribute to planning discussions
  • Coordinate with graphic designers, videographers, and other content creators to produce superior visual content products that result in engagement and donations
  • Present to internal and external audiences as needed

  • 46 years of experience in digital content creation and management, and communications
  • Proven track record of managing and growing social media presence across diverse social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Meta and YouTube
  • Experience managing email and SMS marketing programs
  • Proficiency in content management, and graphic and video design systems, e.g., Sendible, Mailchimp, Rally Corp, Squarespace…
