The Candidate:Ben Yee is an educator, innovator, and democracy evangelist who has spent his life in the 66th District. Hes running an insurgent campaign to beat the Democratic establishment and return institutional power to the people. From passing more reforms than any State Committee member in 20 years to training over 8,000 New Yorkers in the mechanics of power, Ben is ready to Upgrade New York.

The Mission:In the age of AOC and Zohran Mamdani, the revolution will be livestreamed. We are building a digital operation that doesn’t just “inform” votersit organizes them. We need a Social Media Strategist who can bypass the establishment gatekeepers and mainstream media to speak directly to the neighbors who are ready to take their power back. You won’t just be managing an account; you’ll be the creative director of an insurgent narrative.

What Youll Do:

• Develop comprehensive social media strategies aligned with brand goals, target audiences, and industry trends to maximize reach and engagement.
• Manage social media platforms using tools like Hootsuite or Buffer to schedule posts, monitor activity, and analyze performance metrics.
• Utilize social listening tools to gather insights on audience sentiment, industry trends, and competitor activities to inform strategy adjustments.
• Use web analytics such as Google Analytics to measure campaign success, track user behavior, and optimize future initiatives.
• Maintain strong relationship management with influencers, partners, and community members to foster brand loyalty.
• Stay current on emerging social media trends, platform updates, and best practices in digital marketing to keep strategies innovative.

• Insurgent Spirit: Youre tired of “politics as usual.” You believe that social media is a tool for liberation and you want to use it to fight for “Fast and Free Buses” and housing for people, not billionaires.
• Trend-Savvy but Values-Grounded: You know the latest sounds and formats, but you use them to deliver serious, systemic change.
• Technically Proficient: Youre a one-person production housecapable of shooting, editing, and captioning high-quality content on the fly.
• A Resident or Student of the 66th: You understand the specific vibe of the West Village, SoHo, and the Lower East Side, and you know how to speak to our neighbors where they are.

This position is temporary and will expire at the end of the Democratic Primary on June 23rd, 2026 with potential to continue until the General Election on November 3rd, 2026.
