Overall purpose of the role The security guard will report to Admin Officer and ensure compliance to IRC procedures and guidelines within the assigned duty station. To ensure security of IRCs premises and properties, the security guard will be assigned for the following tasks and responsibilities: Main tasks and responsibilities Ensure security of IRC premises and properties whenever including building and compound for both inside and outside of IRC premises. Inspect property to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal activity and examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure. Inspects equipment and machinery including CCTVs to ascertain if tampering or damage has occurred, and watches for and reports irregularities, such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, generators and security doors left unlocked. Assist with the reception of items delivered, movement of equipment, loading and off-loading of general IRC cargo Ensure that visitors sign on visitor logbook when visitors come to the office and prevent unauthorized persons from entering the IRC compound at all hours. To be always alert for any security risk and immediately report to supervisor or safety and security Officer about potential risks Maintain IRC compound yard with cleaning, arranging placement of staffs motorbikes, and assist the drivers for parking vehicles inside or around the IRC compound Responsible for the generator operating when township electricity power outage happens, and record fuel usage/ generator running hours in generator logbook Represent IRC positively and professionally in both internal and external relations Participate in Safety and Security training activities, as needed or requested. To perform any other duties assigned by his/her direct or indirect supervisors. What should you have? Minimun Requirement At least, grade 9, understanding Myanmar is asset. Good communication skill Good knowledge of public safety and security procedure /protocol. At least 1 years’ experience in a similar position, ideally in an NGO or UN Agency High-school degree Remark:
