EDI Lead (People Accessing Services) Location: Remote Working Hours: Part-time 22 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent Salary: 29,430 – 37,610 per annum (pro rata) Closing date: Monday 9th March Interview date: Thursday 19th March We are a dynamic, purpose-driven charity that believes people are at the heart of everything we do. About the Role Waythrough wants people of all backgrounds to receive the highest standard of support. We know however that we live in an unequal society, where many people face significant barriers to accessing the support they deserve. This is especially true for substance use, mental health and housing services. This is where you come in. As an expert in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, you will play a vital role in identifying and reducing inequality and underrepresentation in our services. You will be part of a small but mighty Inclusion Team, who work remotely across the country. What You Will Do Identify barriers to engaging with our services, speaking with people from underrepresented communities and subject experts to produce recommendations on reducing those barriers together. Share knowledge and expertise with a range of local services and promote visibility and a culture of learning and curiosity. Ensure compliance with equality legislation and certified good practice. Monitor equality, diversity & inclusion (EDI) data and inights, produce regular reports on our progress. Work with service leads to develop and review their EDI action plans, to ensure equality and addressing inequalities are key parts of all strategies, plans and programmes. Model our organisational values that sets the tone for people across the organisation. Contribute to developing our culture of excellence and care which is collaborative and actively demonstrates our commitment to the people we support, and our core purpose. Seek opportunities to develop, learn and continuously improve so that we can develop high quality services. Work in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and guidelines including safeguarding. Keep abreast of latest developments and good practice in own professional areas. You are an impactful communicator, able to engage with diverse communities and colleagues through a range of methods, confident in sharing your ideas both online and in person.
