Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Professional (LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LAC) to join our team. This role provides therapy and counseling to our residential youth, as well as community clients. This contractor reports to the Director of Residential and Clinical Services.

Duties

  • Conduct intakes and assessments, including substance abuse assessments and develop master treatment plans in collaboration with treatment team, including DYS and/or DCFS goals for client
  • Schedule and conduct individual, family and group therapy that is medically necessary and documented in the master treatment plan
  • Create and maintain required reports, schedule and documentation; maintain electronic recordkeeping congruent with HIPAA guidelines for services provided
  • Attend monthly staffing’s for master treatment plan reviews with client system and treatment team and update accordingly
  • Ensure treatment and documentation are medically necessary and consistent with Medicaid policy, as well as other third-party pay sources
  • Collaborate with nurses and psychiatric staff for medication management appointments
  • Maintain current Arkansas license selecting CEU’s relevant to mission of Vera Lloyd
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team members, concerning issues with the youth
  • Complete all documentation for the week by close of business the following Tuesday
  • Uphold the Code of Ethics of VLPFS and of specific profession – NASW; ACA
  • Rotate on-call status with other clinical staff to respond to crisis situations

Qualifications

  • Masters degree from an accredited university or college in Behavioral Health, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Current license as a certified social worker (LCSW), professional counselor (LPC), other independently licensed behavioral health provider, or currently under supervision and in good standing in the State of Arkansas
  • Follows all policies and procedures of the Arkansas Department of Human Services, Division of Child and Family Services, Arkansas Child Welfare Licensing Board, and other board/commissions that the agency relates to professionally
  • Adheres to all agency policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates necessary knowledge and skills to perform the job duties, keeping current with new and best practices
  • Basic knowledge of office equipment; ability to produce and maintain records utilizing various software programs as necessary.
  • Possess a valid drivers license
  • Successfully passes initial background screening: must be free from convictions outlined in in A.C.A 9-28-409 (e) (A-CC) and be free from substantiated finding of abuse or neglect of children or the elderly.
  • Available for on-call emergencies after scheduled hours

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience (2-4 years) in the not-for-profit sector, and/or work with adolescents
  • Certified in Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT),Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT),Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, or other trauma-based model
  • Experience or certification in substance abuse counseling established by your licensing board
  • Possess understanding of the Medicaid billing model

Compensation

  • Full time: based on experience
  • Contract: 60/40 split of billed and reimbursed services
