Job Summary

This internship is with the develoPPP program, which has been fostering public-private partnerships since 1999. The program aims to bundle resources from public and private partners to create business success and development benefits. As an intern, you will support one of three regional teams (Africa; Mediterranean/Europe/Central Asia; or Latin America/Caribbean) in implementing these partnerships across diverse themes like climate action, sustainable supply chains, and promoting good employment. We are currently seeking three interns.

Salary & Benefits:

  • Monthly Intern Remuneration: €2,205.04 (gross)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support project managers in the selection, preparation, and implementation of development partnerships.
  • Assist in developing project proposals with internal and external experts.
  • Support the execution of idea competitions and assist with data processing.
  • Help coordinate ongoing projects and prepare/follow-up on meetings with partners.
  • Conduct research and contribute to documenting results and lessons learned.
  • Support strategic team processes and assist with daily operational tasks.

Your Profile:

  • Currently studying Economics, Social Sciences, Law, Regional Studies, or Engineering.
  • Knowledge of private sector engagement in developing countries and/or prior private sector experience is desirable.
  • Excellent command of German and English. French (B2+) is required for the Africa team; Spanish (B2+) is required for the Latin America/Caribbean team.
  • Regional knowledge of the Mediterranean, Europe, or Central Asia is desirable for the MEZ team.
  • Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage tasks independently.
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must be currently enrolled or have graduated no more than six months prior to the start of the internship.
