Job Summary
The Senior Research Associate will provide research, engagement, and capacity development expertise on Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI) for CIFOR-ICRAF's Peru office. You will support a portfolio of projects related to forests, rights, and environmental justice in the Peruvian Amazon, working with the Governance, Equity and Wellbeing team to produce impactful research and strengthen key partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement research and engagement activities on forests, rights, environmental justice, and GESI.
- Co-author briefs, articles, and research proposals to generate innovative solutions.
- Present research findings in national and regional forums to support research impact.
- Strengthen partnerships with government agencies, donors, CSOs, and research institutions.
- Organize and facilitate workshops and capacity development activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Anthropology, Gender Studies, Geography, Sociology or a related Social Science.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years applying GESI and rights-based approaches to research on climate change, development, or conservation in the Peruvian Amazon.
- Skills: Demonstrated experience with GESI research methods, engaging with rural Indigenous Peoples, publishing academic articles, and facilitating workshops.
- Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
