The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Manager, High Core Programs to support Consumer Fundraising team. This is a virtual position, and it can be located anywhere in the United States.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The Consumer Fundraising team builds the foundation for optimal long-term donor value by developing strategies and programs that increase individual donor engagement, financial revenue, and fundraising capacity for the American Red Cross. The team focuses on marketing to individual donors via direct-response and digital channels to engage constituents and raise revenue to support the mission of the American Red Cross.
The Manager, High Core Programs, plays a strategic and collaborative role in advancing donor engagement across high-value segments. This position oversees the development and implementation of marketing plans for the Clara Barton Society, guides recognition and retention efforts, and partners across teams to facilitate donor movement between giving portfolios. The manager champions acquisition and stewardship strategies for $5K+ donors, ensuring approaches reflect diverse giving patterns and sophisticated methods such as DAFs and stock gifts. Additionally, the role supports the transfer of major donors to Field portfolios and leads the integration and promotion of donor-advised fund giving in partnership with segmentation and loyalty teams. This position reports to the Dir of High Core Programs, Tele-engagement & Donor Care.
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
Proposes, develops, manages, and implements programs and projects for sustained growth in High Core donors (>$1k) to align with strategic plans; monitors, evaluates, and modifies as needed to ensure success.
Manages budget and logistics for the assigned promotional campaigns and marketing initiatives.
Collaborates in the production of programmatic promotional tools and resources, and ensures successful implementation and execution of marketing campaigns and strategies; ensures consistent messaging
Establishes reporting for programs, incl. data collection and analysis, metrics, KPIs, and satisfaction measurements
Develop competitive intelligence reports and interprets market conditions and trends to identify opportunities
Identifies and implements improvements to business processes, resources, and infrastructure
Owns key core donor fundraising programs including, but not limited to:
Clara Barton Society
Oversee the Clara Barton Society program, including membership recognition, stewardship, and retention strategies.
Collaborates across channels to ensure consistent and meaningful engagement of society members.
Develops and executes annual plans for member communications, events, and impact reporting.
Supports initiatives, including Women in Philanthropy to encourage engagement of core donors and contribute to the development of tactics and strategies
Donor Movement Strategy
Partners with FP&O and Field Fundraisers to facilitate the movement of donors from Core Donor Management (CDM) to Major Managed Donor (MMD) portfolios.
In partnership with MODS, CDAF, and leveraging new platform capabilities, identifies and highlights high-value new donors and prospects for cultivation.
Manages communication plans to support donor transitions (MMD-CDM, CDM-MMD) and deepen engagement.
CDM Acquisition, Cultivation, and Stewardship
Champions acquisition, cultivation, and stewardship efforts for CDM donors giving $5,000+, ensuring strategies reflect the diverse giving patterns and preferences of high core donors.
Develops and implements approaches that support more sophisticated giving methods, including DAFs, stock gifts, and other planned giving vehicles.
Collaborates with segmentation and analytics teams to refine targeting and personalize donor journeys.
DAF Integration and Promotion
Oversees the Donor Advised Fund (DAF) integration program, ensuring seamless donor experiences.
Develops strategies to promote DAF giving in partnership with the Director, Direct Mail, Segmentation, and Loyalty.
Monitors performance and recommend enhancements to increase DAF utilization.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, English, or related field required.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of related marketing, promotional material development experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Management Experience: 3 years of management experience.
Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of applicable principles, concepts, practices, and standards. Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Basic proficiency in use of Personal Computer, word-processing, spreadsheet applications, and database applications when applicable. Ability to work on a team.
Travel: May need to travel and participate in meetings and conferences.

SALARY INFORMATION:
The salary range for this position is $105,000 -$115,000

Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have, and a comparison to other employees already in this role.
