  • Ayudar en el transporte de los funcionarios de ACNUR y sus colaboradores, y los materiales que haya a lugar, que deban salir en mision para un asunto especifico en el terreno, para lo cual el Contratista debera estar siempre disponible.
  • Reaccionar ante una eventual emergencia, buscando la proteccion tanto de la comunidad objetivo como de los integrantes de la embarcacion.
  • Velar por el buen funcionamiento de los equipos de comunicacion, salvamento y la embarcacion, propiedad del ACNUR.
  • Prestar apoyo logistico en mantenimiento del bote y limpieza regular para garantizar la seguridad y ejecucion de las misiones fluviales y maritimas, segun sea el caso.
  • Aprovisionar de aceite y combustible al bote en los surtidores destinados para tal efecto.
  • Encargarse del suministro de combustible durante el recorrido.
  • Limpiar el bote y ordenar los demas elementos antes y despues de cada mision.
  • Apoyar las maniobras para desentranar el bote en caso de encallar.
  • Vigilar la seguridad en el bote garantizando la integridad de los pasajeros.
  • Atracar el bote de forma segura.
  • Cumplir estrictamente las normas sobre seguridad y prevencion de accidentes, asi como los protocolos de seguridad establecidos por ACNUR.

General Background of Project or Assignment, Operational Context: UNHCR’s Mocoa Field Unit operates in a department geostrategically located on the borders with Ecuador and Peru, surrounded by two major river arteries (the Caqueta and Putumayo rivers). These have historically served as communication routes for riverside communities, but in the context of the internal armed conflict, they have become strategic corridors for non-state armed groups (GANE). Of the 364,085 inhabitants of the department of Putumayo, 159,387 are victims of the internal armed conflict, primarily from the municipalities of Puerto Asis, Terms of Reference for Individual Contracts Puerto Guzman, Puerto Leguizamo, and Valle del Guamuez, which, in addition to Mocoa, are the municipalities prioritized by the Field Unit’s operations. Putumayo is a culturally diverse department, home to 15 Indigenous peoples and more than 10,000 Afro-Colombians. It is also a transit department for foreign populations due to its double border status and also hosts more than 12,000 Venezuelan refugees and migrants intent on remaining in the territory. Assist in managing the protection of people experiencing forced displacement or at risk of displacement in remote areas within the scope of the field office. Support the Boat Driver in the care and maintenance of the boat according to his or her duties. Comply with all UNHCR internal regulations regarding safety and accident prevention, travel, use of visibility, etc. The auxiliary boatman’s service will be provided according to the office’s mission schedule, and the duration of the mission will depend on operational needs.
