Project Specialist, Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC) Program Who We Are International Justice Mission (IJM) is a global movement working to protect people in poverty from everyday violencehuman trafficking, slavery, sexual violence, police abuse, and other brutalities that destroy lives and communities. IJM partners with local authorities in 30+ countries to rescue victims, hold perpetrators accountable, restore survivors, and strengthen justice systems so they protect the vulnerable long after IJM leaves. The Need For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJMs Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Director of Recruiting. IJM is seeking a Project Specialist to support global advocacy efforts to protect children in the Philippines from Online Sexual Exploitation (OSEC). The Project Specialist will support a cross-organization advocacy strategy, led by IJM Philippines leaders and subject matter experts in the Center to End OSEC who are driving demand-side advocacy in the finance and technology sectors, as well as global advocacy and international advancement leaders who are directly engaging in this work. This roles key routines include managing project tasks, timelines, and deliverables under the demand-side components of the IJM Philippines Program, namely, to secure passage of government legislation and regulation that requires tech companies to disrupt and prevent child sexual abuse online. This includes coordination and sequencing of efforts across multiple IJM teams; managing external publications (i.e. reports, white papers) across relevant teams; providing critical support to the annual U.S. Advocacy Summit in support of Stop CSAM Act or related OSEC advocacy; support project coordination, internal communication, and timelines across International Advancement Offices (IAOs) as they engage in OSEC advocacy; internal and external meeting management through agenda development, circulation, notes and follow-up; and coordinating engagement with external experts and advisors, including the External Advisory Council, members of IJMs Board of Directors, and others. This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. Responsibilities Communication Provide regular communication and updates on project deliverables to the Center team and IJMs International Advancement Offices (IAOs) Networking & Partnership Effectively and efficiently manage requests, opportunities, and projects with key internal stakeholders and relationships Training and Development Support project management for US law enforcement engagement and training to catalyze a US operational sprint on livestreaming cases in partnership with the Center to End OSEC, Child Rescue Coalition and US law enforcement Support partner coordination and management, including documentation, internal and external communication Support concept note drafting, as needed Documentation, Reporting & Data Management Prepare well-organized project plans and schedules to aid timely project completion Ensure projects adhere to IJM policies and frameworks; maintain documentation appropriately for each project General tasks Provide administrative and operational support to ensure timely completion of project tasks Protect the intellectual property rights of IJM by implementing knowledge management and abiding by IJM policies Participate in IJM staff wellness, resiliency, professional development and personal formation programs, per IJM policy Participate in relevant Center and advancement office advocacy team meetings Qualifications: University degree in International Development, Public Policy, Business, Law, Economics, Public Health, Criminal Justice, or another related field At least three years of experience in project coordination, project management or a related field required Demonstrated success in project management Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with multi-disciplinary program teams to timely complete program activities on time Strong computer skills, including high-level knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite Exceptional organizational and oral communication skills in English, including the ability to make complex technical concepts easy to understand for non-technical audiences Knowledge of standards relating to professional writing, citation, and grammar Knowledge of OSEC issues, anti-OSEC programming, NGO and government engagement preferred Critical Qualities: Passion for and understanding of IJMs mission and vision Mature orthodox Christian faith as defined by the Apostles Creed Unfailing integrity and honesty Professional, ethical, hard-working, self-motivated, and flexible Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Great attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced stressful environment Ability to work in a multi-cultural, interdisciplinary, professional team Self-guided, strong organizational and planning skills Ability to work independently and under pressure Flexible attitude to non-normal business/working hours as the Center team and its stakeholders are international operating across numerous time zones Ability to manage workload and work-life balance to support sustainable working habits Application Process: Upload Resume, Cover Letter & Statement of Faith* in one PDF document. *What is a statement of faith?
