This is a remote position*

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Process bi-weekly payroll in a multi-state environment for both exempt and non-exempt employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and deadlines. 65%

Assists the Payroll Manager with payroll system configuration updates, tax adjustments, and corrections to support accurate payroll processing. 10%

Identifies and support the implementation of process improvements to payroll operations and workflows. 10%

Responds to employee inquiries and resolves payroll-related issues in a timely manner and with exceptional customer service. 10%

Supports quarter-end and year-end payroll activities, including reconciliation, report distribution, and W-2 processing. 5%

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required: Associate Degree

Preferred Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience.

Certificate(s) or License(s): CPP designation and accounting experience preferred.

Years of experience: 5+ years experience in a multi-state payroll environment; 3+ years experience with Workday preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

Advanced knowledge of federal & state payroll laws.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work is normally performed in a typical office work environment.

The starting rate is $63,300 to $73,000. The final candidate’s relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
