Oversee finances for a portfolio of national grants from federal agencies including Department of Labor, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, and AmeriCorps,

  • Collaborate with the Development team to review grant agreements and submit timely financial reports in alignment with grant requirements.
  • Partner with Programs Department and ASAS chapters to collect invoices and other documentation related to grant expenditures and monitor spend down
  • File reimbursements from federal agencies to ensure timely replenishment of cash flow and record accordingly in Financial Edge
  • Collaborate with the Development team to develop grant budgets for new grant proposals.
  • Maintain grant compliance and reporting, including outcome measurement and grant budgetstaking responsibility for meeting high standards of effectiveness, timeliness, and completeness, including:

o Monitoring and maintaining funder reporting schedules and requirements.

o Reporting on reimbursements and drawdowns as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

A minimum of 3 years of hands-on financial, accounting, operational, and analysis experience in a medium-large sized non-profit experience a plus.

  • Strong, first-hand knowledge of government grant receivables and invoicing.
  • A CPA or a bachelors degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • Ability to be discreet with sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication. Strong track record of building relationships with other senior managers and department heads.
  • Financial Software, including Financial Edge, Raisers Edge, Blackbaud software affiliate partners, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Sit for extended periods of the day.
