Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications: Advanced university degree (Masters) in Information Science, Computer Science, Communications, or related fields.
- Academic Qualifications: First-level degree with two additional years of relevant experience may be considered. A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience work experience in information systems is required.
- Language: English and French are the working language of the United Nations Secretariat.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Skills
- Provide technical support for computer systems, databases, and applications at ACPC; perform troubleshooting and system monitoring.
- Support the development, programming, testing, debugging, and implementation of new computer applications and website modules; conduct version management.
- Assist in designing and maintaining ACPC web and database systems according to UN IT standards.
- Maintain technical documentation for computer application systems and manage changes in line with change management procedures.
- Support data backup, security, recovery, and user training for IT systems.
- Assist in identifying user system needs, conducting workflow and document management analysis, and developing classification, retention, and archival procedures.
- Conduct research on new IT tools and technologies, propose acquisitions, and assist with implementation. B. Digital Communication and Web Support
- Design and maintain ACPC and ARFSD-12 web pages, upload content, and format materials.
- Develop and maintain online discussion forums, registration forms, and event sub-sites, including multimedia content and social media integration.
- Disseminate ACPC knowledge products and ARFSD-12 materials to stakeholders via websites and email communications.
- Track, validate, and update contacts in the ACPC database; minimize duplicates and ensure accurate email information. C. Event Coordination and Support
- Support ACPC and ARFSD-12 event logistics, including participant registration, communication, venue setup, and virtual/hybrid meeting facilitation.
