Qualifications

  • Academic Qualifications: Applicants to the United Nations internship programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements: (a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or, (b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor ‘s level or equivalent). (c) Have graduated with a university degree.
  • Academic Qualifications: Be computer literate in standard software applications.
  • Academic Qualifications: Have demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter.
  • Academic Qualifications: Internship candidates can be students currently undertaking studies or having completed studies, e.g.
  • Academic Qualifications: Familiarity with the issues and processes under the Convention and the Kunming Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework is desirable.
  • Academic Qualifications: Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
  • Academic Qualifications: However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
  • Academic Qualifications: Can you please describe how your field of study is relevant for this internship? Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Masters or Ph.D.
  • Academic Qualifications: Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelors, Masters or PH.D.

Skills

  • Contribute to analyzing results achieved and other information related to the Bio-Bridge Initiative (BBI) and other related capacity development activities.
  • Assist in developing communication materials and content related to the Bio-Bridge Initiative.
  • Support the organization and preparation of related meetings and events, including the Technology and Innovation Expo which will be held at the seventeenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity.
