Qualifications

  • Academic Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following requirements: (a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). (b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience; however, a field of study that is related to the type of internship is required.
  • Academic Qualifications: Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (Bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D.
  • Academic Qualifications: Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D.
  • Academic Qualifications: Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word and MS PowerPoint, is required.
  • Academic Qualifications: Good knowledge of design software applications, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva is desirable..
  • Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required for this internship..
  • Perform other duties as required

Skills

  • Supporting communication and outreach activities in relation to UN exhibitions, including drafting and editing website and social media content and monitoring social media output
  • Researching, compiling, and organizing materials for use in the development of UN exhibitions
  • Designing exhibit materials as needed
  • Assisting with planning and organizing exhibit installations and opening events
  • Providing general office support (drafting correspondence and other communications, setting up and maintaining files/records and databases, organizing meetings, etc.)
  • Providing support for the work of Visitor Services Section
