About the Role:

This role is a key part of a program focused on building 21st-century skills andArtificial Intelligence (AI) mindsets, specifically for adolescent girls (grades 6-12) in government schools. TheEducation Specialistwill be crucial in institutionalizing Artificial Intelligence and Career skills into theacademic curriculumby working directly with the State Education Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Implementation:Lead the end-to-end implementation of the Schools Program, ensuring the effective delivery of the curriculum to teachers and learners.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials at the district, division, and state levels.
  • Curriculum & Content:Anchor the implementation of new curricula for educators, ensuring they are well-versed in the content.
  • Capacity Building:Conduct and oversee workshops and training for educators, particularly on AI, coding, and computational thinking skills.
  • Mentorship & Support:Provide consistent mentorship and hand-holding support to a team of secondary education specialists.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation:Ensure timely reporting and data analysis for the program to facilitate planning and reviews.
  • Documentation:Document program processes and create case studies to demonstrate the program’s impact and progress.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 810 years of experience
  • implementing school transformation programs, with a strong focus on government school contexts.
  • Hands-on experience working withArtificial Intelligence (AI), coding, computational skills, and/or STEMisnon-negotiable.
  • Prior experience in curriculum development, implementation design, and working with State Education Departments.
  • Experience in educator capacity building is essential.
  • Relevant educational qualifications related to pedagogy, STEM, gender, and life skills content.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Willingness totravel extensively.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
