Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required..
- Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.

- A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible security management experience, either within the UN security system, or a nationally recognized civilian or military entity is required.
- Experience: Good leadership and “people” skills to work closely with international and national civilian and military personnel in an effective manner to keep teamwork to the maximum and problems to the minimum, while never losing focus of the job at hand and the overall mission requirements is required.

- The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to 5 years for candidates who possess a first level University Degree.
- Commissioned military or senior level police experience, including experience of command in a military or police organization is required.
- Security management and supervisory knowledge, programme management, security staff supervision, ability to work harmoniously with the UN field mission in an integral team to timely and accurately conduct security and safety operations for the field mission is desired.
- Experience in the United Nations system is required.
- Experience in cost management, budget formulation, financial monitoring, other related areas is desirable..
