Qualifications

• Academic Qualifications: A first level university degree with a combination of 2 additional years of relevant academic qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree. 10 years of progressively responsible programme management experience in gender mainstreaming, womens leadership and/or inclusion in disaster risk reduction, humanitarian response, or development programming, is required.
• Academic Qualifications: Experience working within the UN system or related international organization in the Africa region is desirable.
• Language: English and French are the official UN languages.
• Language: For this position, fluency in English is required.
• Language: Knowledge of French is desirable..

Skills

• Provide guidance to UNDRR grantees who are developing DRR training materials to ensure they are gender-responsive and disability inclusive.
• Support the roll out of the disability and gender annex in MCR2030 and the gender and disability Inclusive early warning early action: checklist and implementation guide
• Support Programme Management Officers to roll out trainings on the Gender Action Plan to support implementation of Sendai GAP.
