Voice of the Experienced (VOTE) is a grassroots organization led by formerly incarcerated people, working to advance justice, equity, and liberation across Louisiana. We build power through organizing, advocacy, and narrative change.

What Youll Do

We are seeking aCommunications Director or Managerto lead and execute our communications and narrative strategy. In this role, you will:

• Develop and drive organization-wide communications strategy
• Oversee messaging across campaigns, policy, organizing, and civic engagement
• Lead digital, media, and rapid-response communications efforts
• Manage and support communications staff and collaborators
• Strengthen systems, workflows, and cross-team alignment
• Build relationships with media, partners, and community stakeholders

Where Youll Work

This is afull-time, in-person role, ideally based inNew Orleans, LA(candidates in Baton Rouge or Lafayette will be considered), with travel across chapters as needed.

Compensation:$65,000 $80,000 + full benefits (health, dental, vision, retirement match, PTO, holidays).
