Your Opportunity
Are you passionate about supporting people at pivotal moments in their lives? Do you believe safe, stable housing is the foundation for a better future? This role is an opportunity to walk alongside people during their first six months in housing, building trust, stability, and confidence for long-term success.
As a Welcome Home Housing Coordinator, youll be at the forefront of an innovative housing initiative focused on early intervention, relational care, and tenant success. This role will deliver tenancy management and holistic support coordination to our new tenants using trauma-informed and person-led approach.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Build meaningful relationships with tenants during their critical first six months
Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to provide wraparound support
Conduct tenancy sign ups and property inspections with a supportive approach
Delivery tenancy education and connect tenants with support services
Monitor rent and provide early intervention to prevent arrears
Encourage tenant participation in community programs
Prepare reports on tenancy outcomes, arrears and program performances
Handle feedbacks and complaints with a focus on empowerment and improvement
Requirements for Success
Certificate IV in social housing or community services desirable
Experience in community or social housing or similar sector desirable
Strong understanding of challenges faced by the vulnerable communities
Exceptional relationship building and communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
Strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills
Highly organised and attention to detail
Trauma-informed, compassionate and person-centred approach
Valid driver’s license and WWCC
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, referee checks, and WWCC.
