Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications: be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent);
- Language: There are six working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this internship, fluency in written and oral English is required. Knowledge of Spanish or another official United Nations language is an advantage.
Skills
- Undertaking research, compiling of information and documentation on assigned topics.
- Collecting, organizing, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, preparing summary reports, including preparation of data visualizations and PPT presentations.
- Assisting in the drafting, editing and formatting of products on the topics related to the Units activities (i.e. land degradation, drought, land tenure, gender issues).
- Drafting Monthly regional Briefing for Annex III
- Supporting the organization of webinars, workshops, conferences, meetings.
- Providing support on drafting of briefing notes, talking points, correspondence letters.
- Taking notes during meetings and assisting in the preparation of minutes and reports.
- Supporting other ad-hoc activities related to the Units workplan.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
