WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB:
Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Agile Release Train (ART) by promoting systems thinking, supporting planning commitments, and leading change. Facilitate work for the ART by escalating impediments, managing risk, and driving continuous improvement for the ART. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.
The work location for this position is 100% virtual/work from home. While the position can be worked from anywhere in the United States, working an EST schedule. WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):1. Lead ART level cadence inclusive of ART Syncs, ART Backlog Refinement, System Demos, Inspect and Adapt Event, and PI Planning (remote or in-person).
2. Work with Portfolio Management, Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters (SMs), System Architect, Business Stakeholders, and customers as needed.
3. Responsible for reporting on ART metrics and Program Increment progress and impediments.
4. Mentor SMs and team coaches. Onboard new SMs as needed.
5. Partner with Transformation Coaches and Agile Center of Excellence (CoE) to develop and reinforce agile team execution standards, conduct Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and other trainings.
6. Build high-performing SMs; establish mission and purpose for SMs supporting the teams.
7. Manage a team including hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and managing performance. Manage resource allocations.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (required/minimum qualifications):
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. SAFe SPC certification required. SAFe SM or RTE certifications preferred.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience in RTE, SM, SAFe Coach or equivalent combination of education and related experience required. Experience transitioning new agile teams in a SAFe environment required.
Management Experience: 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
Skills & Abilities: Ability to collaborate and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent verbal & written skills with the ability to communicate progress, impediments, and actions across large stakeholder groups. Ability to use/create dashboards and metrics to communicate ART progress. Jira, Confluence, Atlassian experience required, Agile-Hive experience preferred Ability to work on a team.
Travel: Up to 25% travel required, generally around PI Planning events.
Combination of candidates education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to descriptions minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

PAY INFORMATION: The annual salary range for this position is $150K – $165K. We do not offer an annual bonus for this role. Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. **We will review specific salary information at the time of phone screening based upon your location & experience.** This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.
