Qualifications
- Academic Qualifications: Be enrolled in the third or final academic year of a first university degree programme in communication, journalism, political science, international relations, law disarmament, security, development management, or conflict resolution.
- Academic Qualifications: Minimum: Associate degree Bachelors level or equivalent
- Academic Qualifications: Selected candidate must commence the internship programme prior to graduation.
- Language: English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required for this internship..
Skills
- Assisting the Deputy Executive Director with special projects and social media outreach and engagement on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram related to activities of the CTED;
- Crafting engaging and relevant content tailored for the @UN_CTED social media platforms;
- Assisting in developing long-term content on CTED s website to increase awareness and understanding,
- Assisting in the production of Instagram Stories;
- Attending CTED events, CTC open briefings and other events with CTED participation to gather quotes and take photos and videos to be used in social media posts;
- Taking an active role in the live coverage of events;
- Supporting external presentations;
- Proactively contributing suggestions and ideas that will add value to CTED digital communications;
- Assisting in preparing background notes, talking points for meetings, missions and other events attended by the Deputy Executive Director;
- Assisting in gathering, selecting and analyzing data contained in communication and publications received from different sources, including the UN meetings, reports of international and regional organizations, and the press.
- Assisting in preparing CTEDs monthly newsletter;
- Assisting the Deputy Executive Director in activities to support the Executive Director;
