Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For th is job opening, English is required. Either French or Spanish or Russian or Arabic or Chinese (Mandarin) is desirable.   • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in finance, budget, accounting, administrative services or related area is required. At least two years of experience in using the budget and finance modules in Umoja (SAP-based ERPs) is required. Out of these, at least two (2) years in the United Nations Common System or similar intergovernmental organisations is desirable. Minimum two years of experience in analysing and assessing financial reports is desirable. Minimum two years of experience in processing grants to third parties or supporting cost-recovery processes is desirable. Minimum two years of experience in preparing budget proposals and budget monitoring is desirable. Experience in assisting with the preparation of responses to audit queries/audit recommendations is desirable.
