Executive Director Senior Solutions, Area Agency on Aging Southeastern Vermont

Senior Solutions is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to supporting older adults across southeastern Vermont, from White River Junction to Brattleboro. We believe in empowering every individual to age in the place they love, with access to the support, meaningful connections, and community engagement they deserve. With over $5 million in annual funding and a passionate team of 40 staff members, we offer critical programs including a senior help line, case management services, and Choices for Care.

About the Role

Were searching for an Executive Director who shares our passion for enhancing the well-being and dignity of older adults. With guidance from a Board of Directors, you will lead the organizations overall administration, strategic planning, and program execution. This role is more than managementits about being the voice of Senior Solutions, forging strong community partnerships, and ensuring our programs continue to thrive and meet state compliance.

Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee the submission, implementation, and compliance of the Area Plan on Aging with Vermont Department of Aging and Independent Living.
    • Political Involvement at the local, state and federal level
    • Direct the management of all agency contracts and grants, ensuring program quality and fiscal responsibility.
    • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders, representing Senior Solutions with trust and enthusiasm.
    • Provide leadership and support to staff, fostering a positive and responsive workplace culture.
    • Guide the agencys overall growth and development, aligning resources with mission-driven priorities.

What Were Looking For

    • A masters degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
    • At least five years of experience in a leadership role within a non-profit or aging services organization.
    • Strong understanding of grant management, program compliance, and community engagement.
    • Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
    • A genuine commitment to the mission of promoting dignity and well-being for older adults.

What We Offer

We provide a competitive salary between $100,000 and $130,000, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage.
