The Young Shakespeareans is a small but mighty nonprofit arts education organization, providing challenging after school theater arts programs for grades 2 through 12 on site in LAUSD title 1 public schools in Los Angeles’ most historically marginalized neighborhoods.
Our ideal candidate has:
- Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, and successful execution of development strategies (foundation, major contributors, corporate sponsorships)
- Experience in Board management and stewardship
- Skills in grant writing, grant management, and reporting
- Event planning, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in databases, CRM platforms, and financial oversight
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge or experience in nonprofit operations in the arts and education sectors is preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively as well as with autonomy and independence to manage multiple priorities
