The New York Philharmonic is seeking a dynamicDirector of Principal Giftsto play a key leadership role in advancing one of the most iconic cultural institutions in the world. This is a unique opportunity to help shape and drive a major comprehensive campaign at a moment of ambition and renewal, working alongside visionary artistic and executive leadership. The Director will steward transformational relationships with philanthropic partners whose support powers artistic excellence, education, and community impact. Your Day-to-Day
- Manage a focused portfolio of highnetworth donors and prospects capable of gifts of $250,000+
- Strategize and lead cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of six and sevenfigure gifts
- Engage donors through personalized experiences, concerts, and meetings with Philharmonic leadership and musicians
- Partner with senior leaders, board members, and volunteers on principal gift strategy
- Lead and mentor a small team dedicated to principal gifts and stewardship
- Contribute meaningfully to campaign strategy, messaging, and progress tracking
What You Bring to the Team
- 710+ years of progressive fundraising experience, including a proven record of securing transformational gifts
- Deep expertise in major and principal gift fundraising and campaign environments
- Experience working in the performing arts, culture, or missiondriven organizations
- Demonstrated success leading and developing highperforming teams
- Exceptional relationshipbuilding, communication, and strategic thinking skills
- Comfort partnering with senior executives, board members, and artistic leaders
- Bachelors degree required; advanced degree or CFRE a plus
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and attend concerts and events throughout the year.
