The NYU SternCenter for Business and Human Rightsis seeking a Senior Research Scientist (Deputy Director) to advance the Centers mission, which is to challenge and empower companies and future business leaders to make practical progress on human rights. The Senior Research Scientist (Deputy Director) will work in partnership with the Director to ensure that the Centers research, teaching, and external engagements are aligned with its strategic goals and objectives. We are looking for someone who will take our fundraising to the next level, serve as a face of the center and be a natural connector for our program managers to companies, academic experts, government officials and donors. This role will also be responsible for guiding and enhancing our external communications.

The Senior Research Scientist (Deputy Director) will work closely with the Research Director to ensure the continued strength of the Centers research agenda, including the publication of in-depth reports and other written materials focused on how global businesses in different industries operate, assessing the human rights challenges they face, and proposing practical recommendations to companies and to governments. The Senior Research Scientist (Deputy Director) will also oversee the Centers engagement and advocacy aimed at turning the Centers findings and recommendations into concrete action.
