Position Summary
Heart of America seeks a strategic fundraising leader to grow individual giving revenue to $1M+ annually. This role manages a portfolio of major donors, leads annual and mid-level giving programs, and strengthens stewardship to drive long-term donor engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of major donors; cultivate and secure multi-year and major gifts.
- Lead strategy for individual giving, annual appeals, and donor pipeline development.
- Develop personalized cultivation and stewardship plans; ensure timely recognition and impact reporting.
- Oversee donor appreciation events and high-touch stewardship experiences.
- Partner with Marketing/Communications to create compelling donor appeals.
- Maintain accurate donor data in Salesforce and provide progress reporting.
- Support organization-wide giving initiatives and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or 4+ years of fundraising/individual giving experience.
- Progressive individual giving experience: At least 4+ years of experience, with demonstrated success securing major and multi-year gifts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with equity-focused nonprofits.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce NPSP).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills.
- CFRE certification a plus.
- Willingness to travel; valid drivers license.

Additional Details
Location (hybrid/remote):Baltimore, MD, or Minneapolis, MN, are priority locations.Other HOA Communities of Impact locations will be considered, including Chicago, IL; Las Vegas, NV; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; San Antonio, TX; Washington, DC metro area/DMV
Salary Range: $75,000$95,000
Reports to:VP of Development
